Lemon drops and cherry trees

bright blue skies, a summer breeze.

Remembering all those kisses sweet

captured now as memories

I hold you captive in my heart

so where I go, you go

I’ve missed you since we’ve been a part

everybody knows

I sit alone in your company

and though no one else can see

When it seems I’m talking to myself

you’re right there with me

You may have closed your eyes, my love

and gone before- to that endless slumber

But I vowed my heart long ago

I always will remember

The many ways you touched my life

my world revolved around you

One day I’ll hold your hand again

that day can’t be too soon

Until then I look for you

and I find you everywhere

I need only look inside my heart

and I find you waiting there
