Wild Again

Tapestries and tattered dreams

Link inked to

Tattooed skin and destinies

Tailored suits with sloppy seams

Hidden secrets underneath

Bloated pride in hand me downs

Paper lace and linen gowns

Promise to forget me nots

Placed in broken flower pots

With dreams to spare

On tailless kites

Games of truth dared

By moonlight

Wishing on stars

That hit the ground

Exposing treasure to be found

Only to belong to someone else

Who chose to believe in magic spells

Renewing faith and fantasy

Setting the dreamer in me

Free

To chase the wind and ride the wild

Like nature’s favorite rebel child
